Shot this Robber Fly at the Wichita Mountains today. He was very cooperative - thankfully, since it was so windy!

Great shot Randy, especially with the wind. It causes me to use profanity quite often
when trying to do closeup work. Just noticed you shot those with a D300. When
did you take the plunge?

About 3-4 weeks ago. I'm loving it. One of my present commercial jobs has me shooting a lot at night. The D300 has been virtually noiseless on every occasion.
It's also faster than my old D200. Gee, Did I say I love it?
